I have never served on a board. Is this program too early for me?
No. The FOCUS stage is built for exactly this. Sessions one to four establish your board readiness, clarify the kind of director you should be, and identify any gaps, such as a governance qualification, before you begin your search.
I already hold a board seat. What will I gain?
Serving directors use the program to move from one seat to a portfolio. The methodology is the same, applied to a more targeted search: sharper positioning, deliberate targeting of your next seats, and a networking plan that keeps your name in front of the people who fill them.
How is the program structured?
Ten one-to-one sessions with your MentorCoach across three stages: FOCUS (sessions 1-4), ALIGN (sessions 5-6) and ACHIEVE (sessions 7-10). Each stage maps to the Four Pillars and the Six-Step Methodology, so every session moves you closer to an appointment.
How quickly can I expect a board role?
With a structured plan and consistent execution, directors typically secure a first board position within six to nine months. Timing depends on your experience, your target market and the effort you put into outreach, and no appointment can be guaranteed.
Do I need a governance qualification?
Without one you are at a disadvantage against qualified candidates. If you do not yet hold a certification, the GBI Diploma in Corporate Governance, accredited with Birkbeck, University of London, is available as a program add-on.
What does the program cost?
Your investment depends on the add-ons that suit your goals. We walk you through the options on your Discovery Call, after we understand where you are today and where you want to go.
What happens on the Discovery Call?
A confidential conversation about your background, your board ambitions and what is holding you back. You will leave with a clearer view of your path, whether or not you join the program.
